What Goes On In Real Estate And Chester County
We are happy to share with our visitors some interesting information on a regular basis.
Whitewall Farm is the Home Of The Month in County Lines Magazine
We are so excited! One of our listings, the beautiful Whitewall Farm in Honeybrook, is featured as “Home Of The Month” in County Lines Magazine's upcoming May issue. We had the pleasure of guiding the lovely Jo Anne Durako, Editor at County Lines, around Whitewall Farm a sunny day in March. Jo Anne seemed charmed by the main house’s historical architecture combined with the modern high ceilings and interior. We also dare say that she was quite impressed with the 27-stall stable and indoor riding facilities!

(Actually, Whitewall Farm was also featured in Philly Magazine in October last year - the headline was "World Class" and we could not agree more)
There are more home buyers than sellers in Chester County, PA
Wow! There is really an upward surge in the real estate market now. For the first time in years, we have very low inventory and many buyers. Compared to December of last year, we have consistently seen buyers paying above asking price and homes selling in 10 days or less in our local market.
We recently received this data from Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach: Inventory for single-family homes in Chester County, PA, was down 10% at end of 2015 compared to the same time period the previous year. At the same time, demand was up 7.7% and mortgage interest rates are still below 4%. In conclusion, the low inventory and high demand should positively impact pricing.
